Just wondering what could be issue. I know alot of things can cause bad mpg but the thing is the message center says 18.1 cty at best 18.3 hwy now i think even if something is affecting mpg there should be more of a gap for hwy than that. the check engine lite has been on so i did a scan only to get a code that say catalyst below threshold on bank one. I think this refers to the cat maybe stopped up dunno any help would be nice thanks in advance

what year is your car and how many miles?

Fed warranty is 8 years or 80 k

MY cat when my car was 7 years and 70 k.. they replace it for $25 bucks.. at the chevy dealer

without my air i get like 19-21 city and i get like 30-32 hwy if im drving 65mph when i drive ilke 70 i get like 28 or something..

A few things.

1) Resonators do nothing for performance, they are just a "sound part" of the exhaust. Gets rid of resonance or drone in the cabin during cruising. Keep it in there if you like your car to sound good.
2) Low Catalyst means the cat is most likely bad. Cutting it and the U-Bend out NOW would be a great upgrade for your car.
3) Don't go by the DIC. It isn't very accurate. Go fill up your car and run it down to hardly anything. Fill it back and see how much gas you put in it. Then figure your mpg's that way but taking how many miles you drove divided by the gallons of gas you put in. WAY more accurate, even though it is old school it works better than a computer IMO.

how much gain did you feel from the res, ubend del

along with the cat, all 3 of them were removed at the same time, i felt a little bit. nothing to write home about, but the gain was certainly there, along with a nice new sound. (keep in mind "nice" is an opinion word)

:th_angry2:sometimes i wish i would have kept my stock resonator and exhaust.. seems like after putting 70k on my new stough its getting loud...

oh maybe im getting old lol

doesnt sound that bad.. after while you get use to it.. Or you turn the radio up like i do..

the ones that are loud is the Harleys with straight pipe..
