Gas Cap Light

ok so the check gas cap light keeps coming on in my car. i have had it checked at a shop a couple times and each time they said it was the gas cap. so i replaced it but the light keeps coming on. it doesnt affect any performance but it just gets annoying having it ding every time you start the car. does any one else have this problem or have any ideas on what i could do to fix this.

yeah it comes on when you dont tighten it on enough so do you have any ideas on how to fix that

If the cap is tight, and a new one doesn't fix it, then you have a leak in your EVAP system somewhere.

what would be the best way to find the leak

honestly you can take it somewhere and have a smoke test done. they hook up a machine and the pressurize the system with smoke. wherever it is leaking, you will see the smoke.
