Anyone here use total seal gapless rings on a 3800 rebuild? They have 3 sets available.
Total Seal #'s for stock replacement type pistons
MX6684- steel gapless top ring, conventional 2nd
X6684- conventional steel top ring, gapless 2nd
CR6684- ductile iron plasma moly top ring, conventional 2nd
available in std., .020, .030, .040
Anyone have any thoughts which would be better for a DD turbo 400+- WHP build? gapless top or second? I was going to just hone and rering/bearing my block before reassembling it. Possibly have the lower end balanced. (any point to doing that with all stock bottom end components or are they balanced at the factory?)
