fukkin cylinder 5

ok i keep misfiring on cylinder 5 and the plug cracks every time i scanned from a 30 roll and the aero says cyl 5 misfired 22 times.....thinkin about moving coils around to see if the misfire follows the coil ....hmmm this cant be a sign of internal problems can it? :th_nervous:

Pics of said plug. Detonation could cause it though maybe cracking the plug.

Plug damage most of the time means there is something flying around in there causing that...as in...a piece of a piston.

yeah, usually screwed up plugs mean something is in there bouncing around. if its a piece of piston i bet i can bet where on the piston it chipped off.

ok guys now the misfire has moved to 3,4,5 and the plug wasnt cracked my mistake i thought i saw hairline cracks on it last night but i was dark....no cracks just random misfires all over im gonna have to go with i need colder plugs or new wires/coils....

Switch to AL104's and gap around .05. This only happens after you see boost or does it happen at idle also?

when im boosting is the only time it happens....it did this intermittently with 104's however also....but i did have a cracked plug....i did another scan today and cylinders 4,5 and 5 misfired cyl5 3 times and cyl4 1......this was at WOT.....but sometimes ill do the same 3mph pull with no misfires....

its funny since my car misfired at idle since i had it together, but it never misfired at WOT unless i was running retarded lean/rich.

What kind of code reader are you using? Any codes coming up?

You can determine which clylinder it is using a Tech 2 for example. It will give you misfire history and will show you what cylinder is creating the condition.
I would say your next course of action after replacing the spark plugs, is to obtain a correect data list to determine what cylinder is misfiring.
