Fuel tank is 12-13 gallons?

after fillup my gas light comes on at about 280 miles. i can drive it til the needle is below the e, and itll only put in 13-14 gallons.. how easy is it to replace the sensor? or would i have to replace more that that?

If you can do a fuel pump you can do the sensor...

I got 347 out of my GTP before fueling up and that was a combination of city/highway driving. When my needle gets to about a 1/4 tank or a little below I fill up.

For the past 3 or 4 years ive always run it down till the gas light comes on and with every fill-up, the tank takes about 15-15.5 to fill up. Ive never had any fuel pump issues. But i think its about time i change out my spark plugs since im getting 17-17.5 mpg with all city driving.

I've kinda noticed on my car that when it sits, the guage will say I have more gas than I do (it'll drop down quite a bit once I start driving) But now I'm wondering if that's really how much gas I have in my tank? And when I fill up I wait till a quarter of a tank and fill up and the most I've gotten to fill up to was 12 gallons.... weird?
