Fuel pump question

It doesn't prime at all. The fuse had blown but replacing it made no difference. the replay clicks on but no pump. I think it seized and that caused the fuse to blow.

I have an OEM one I took out of an 08 grand prix. Level sender is burnt out but you can swap the one on your pump over. Pm me, I'll make you a deal if you're interested

That's a good point. I'll check part numbers.

Edit - not the same part number. As a gm tech, I recommend oem parts

So how about this. Just for the hell of it I try to start the car. Poof, starts right up, runs beautifully. Drive it around the block, no problems. Let it run in the driveway for 20 minutes to get up to temp. No problems. My mechanic buddy who helped my look at it thinks pulling the replay and putting it back in may have reset it. We also did have to replace the 15 amp fuel pump fuse, but when we did it initially it did nothing. Now Im afraid to drive the thing. Thoughts?

The pump is probably starting to fail. If it happens again, try banging on the tank with the ignition on. It may fire the pump up. If it does, replace it. lol.
