fuel pump having trouble putting back in...

Just replaced fuel pump putting assembly back in the tank it won't sit flat or flushed to put the snap ring back on help??

get it level and have another buddy push down on it from the back seat through the small pass through space or get a rubber mallet and carfully tap it down, its kinda tough.

We get it in there level and then it just pops back out

yeah, you gotta push hard to make it go down, then hold it there to get the snap ring back on.

Put vasoline all around the o-ring. After i did this i had no problems.

Agreed with Ryan, I used plumbers grease. Vaseline, oil, dielectric grease, anything like that will work
