fuel leak issue

GTX

so today, i went out to the grand prix to go and get it detailed when for some reason i smelled gas, so i popped my hood and sniffed around, i pulled the engine cover off and sure enough, fule was dripping and nice puddle was forming and spilling down the supercharger , i was shocked and thankful that i caught it in time. what happens is there are 2 o-rings inside the fuel line that were completely corroded and done with, i called my GM dealer to see if it was possible to replace just the o-rings and they said nope "its an assembly" typical of GM lol. so i went through my o-ring service kit and found some good matches however VERY DIFFICULT TO SEAT PROPERLY. so i had to order the new fuel line from rail all the way back to the filter pretty terrible but not as terrible as say an engine fire, which GM claims is the front valve cover gasket that causes fires, its not clearly, if my lines leak im sure others do as well, also makes more sense why people leave the car off and come back and its on fire..... so ever so often check your lines at the rail, just to make sure you dont have a hazard waiting. i was lucky many others havent been

mine did the same.. i just replaced the o-rings in the injectors.. the sell a set of 3 for like $2... unless im talkin about the wrong part that was leaking lol i hope you guys didnt get ripped off and i am wrong

yes similar problem smelled gas while driveing opened hood gas running down the street. the leak was spraying from the fuel supply line quick fiting connection to the fuel rail. where. does o ring go over the male end of the fuelrail that goes into the fuel supply line or do the o rings go into the fuel supply line itself if so what size o ring where to suff the o ring in at. Or is it better to get a new fuel supply line . any ideal on a part number or how to take it off going back to the fuel filter. will pay any one in the atlanta area knowledgeable or capable of fixing issue even if u just tell me what to do and walk me through

I was behind a LeSabre that stank of fuel real bad, I thought it was my car, but I pulled into a station and lifted the hood of my car and smelled nor saw anything.
I was aftraid my fuel line ruptured or somthing it was such a strong odor, not like a little wiff, but I think it had to be the BUICK infront of me because I have not smelled it since.
I might change my o-rings just for the heck of it, to be on the safe side.

Anyone have a "how-to link" to replace the o-rings in the fuel line connector on top of the supercharger? I searched but did not find replacing the o-rings in the connector above the supercharger.

I hope no one here gets the dissapointing surprise I did with my fuel injectors that I pulled out of my Camaro this summer:

All, found the correct Viton o-rings for the fuel line quick disconnects on the supercharged Grand Prix. They are working fine so far, no leaks! Bought them at AutoZone, looks like O'Reily's also carries. Call ahead, may have to special order. Recommend also buying the mechanics pick set (dental like angled pick, very helpful with removal)

Good replacement "how to" is found in this forum on this link:
