Fuel Gauge

I recently changed the fuel floater in my car so that the fuel gauge wouldn't be bouncing back and forth in the dashboard. I filled up the gas tank and went for a trip. Well now it takes about 90 miles before the fuel gauge can moved from the FULL line. What can it be? Anyway the trip was 200 miles and the fuel gauge didn't even make it to the half?!! Help please....

Did you only change the float out or the who sending unit???

looks like your getting great fuel mileage.

ive found in most cars the top 1/2 of the tank lasts longer then the bottom 1/2.

200 miles on less than a quarter of a tank though? Maybe u have a bad sending unit...even though it is new.
