Fuel Gauge erratic/doesn't work

Hello,
New to this site. You already helped me once. Found the access panel to the fuel sending unit. Fuel gauge is very erratic. Doesn't work any more. Checked all connections, all look good. Can't find a separate ground. Any suggestions? Thanks.
