Frosty Headlights

Well, I like to be able to see when I'm on the raod. The headlight lenses on the Grand Prix were in pretty bad shape and not clear anymore.
I tried Meguiars PlasticX and it didn't work. Meguiars is only a plastic polish. The 3M system is a 3-step sanding system followed by a polish and then finish.
Here's what my headlights looked like after using PlasticX headlight restore from Meguiars:

Here's the result after using the 3M system:

This prosuct actually works! I also like how they give you a finish to protect the lense afterwards.

Nice... i spent time and actually wet sanded them back to their former glory... effective and only cost time and money for the sand-paper

How much was the final cost and how long did it take you?

All in all about an hour and a half.

Now, the neat thing about this kit is they give you a pouch of 3M rubbing compound. If anyone has ever used it before, it's awesome! It'll take scratches out of clearcoat in your car too!

Basically, the kit cost $30.00 her in Canada. You get:
- 500 grit discs
- 800 grit discs
- 3000 grit disc (only 1)
- Buffing foam
- 3M rubbing compound
- 3M finish
- Drill attachment

ff you have the necessary grit sandpaper already, then just go out and get a bottle of 3M rubbing compound. The bottle will do 100 sets of headlights! lol! Just remember to wet sand when you do the final sanding stage at 3000 grit.
