Frost White GTP

My car has the solid cowl as well. When I did mine I just had the Wipers all the way up and kinda pushed the 1 piece out of the way. I was able to leave everything together with no issues

Anyone else ask why the boost gauge is T'd in the front of the vac lines and not under the MAP sensor where it should be?

He said right below the pic that it was ugly, and will be fixed when he puts the Gen V on it.

not to bad had replaced both before you just have to wiggle them around a bit, i used a small pry bar and they came right of

2nd time i replaced it, its just there for now ill change it eventually

whole system was flushed not perfectly but good enough all the dex cool is out

where exactly should it be? i just put it there for now still have to redo everything when i put my gen 5 on

i think he meant, what are you gonna do to the finish of the snout, like paint or w/e.

snout is getting polished just like the rest of the s/c, if that's what he meant?

I didn't notice that it's being polished too. I know they are coated, and it didn't look nearly as shiny as the housing.

Nice job so far. Getting closer.

I would consider cleaning the Alt up and painting it black. If it were me, I would want a good accent color for the main parts (support bars, dog bones, strut tower bar, etc...), have the supercharger polished, black out the alt. Nobody will really car if its hidden, few people would be like "Oh man, see that GTP, its got a polished alternator, I know, crazy!".

Just food for thought. And yea, "T" in where the vacuum line comes under the MAP sensor behind the supercharger when you re-do everything.
 
Mine is 1 solid piece. I didn't take anything apart, just tucked it out if the way.

I agree with the accent color. What color would you go with?

yea i didn't really hit the snout yet with 220 grit. it'll get there

removing it wasn't really a big deal for me lol
i had them red but i was thinking of going white or possibly back to black not sure yet lol
id love to have polished braces and dog bones but that's :th_dollarsign::th_dollarsign:

yea i guess after whatever year it changed because my 97 doesn't have the 2 piece and Danielle's 99 doesn't have it either

01-03 was a 2 piece design, 97-00 was one solid piece.
