Front speakers no longer working

The only sound im getting out of the front speakers is coming from the small tweeter in the drivers side door. The rear speakers work fine (And yes i checked the balance and fade knobs, there in the right position, i even tried playing with them to find out which speakers were working).

So what could be the issue here? where do i start?

Note: I did just have the infamous water leak issue on the passenger side of the car and im still getting water in on the drivers side. Could this have something to do with it?

Help!!

Edit: I have the bose system in the car and i also get random static at times but only through the radio so i think thats an antenna issue. Listening to a cd there is no static but the front speakers still dont work no matter what im listening too.

It could be a handful of things that are the problem. Water could have shorted both the front speakers out. They both could have just died at the same time (maybe not from the water issue). Moisture or water could have done something to the radio wire harness that only effected the the front left and right speakers. Trying testing the connection with another speaker, one that you know works. If it works then it was the speakers. Remove the door panels and test with a voltage meter.

Water in passenger floor is a $3 fix, get to it!

I'd say the water got somewhere it shouldn't have, maybe speakers, maybe head unit... It could be totally unrelated and just death by old age! Lol

I already picked up the replacement part to fix the water leak onto the passenger floor (cost me $8). I still have an issue with water getting in on the drivers side though. Could be HVAC drain clogged, could also be my windshield leaking. Gonna look into the speaker issue this weekend.

Anyone update johnny? Just bought a gp and fronts are dead.....
