I know its a pretty easy fix but is there a DIY on the front 02 sensor replacement? If so could you post a link..The part that corn-fuses me is the application of the Goop and I dont want to screw this up :o.

Application of the GOOP? All you do is unscrew the old one...put a little bit of Anti-Seize on the threads of the new one and tighten it back down and plug it back in...thats it.
 
it is such an easy repair i dont think anyone has ever needed a write up for it. what do you mean by Goop? the goop i remember was for washing really dirty hands. you may want to apply a little bit of anti-seize compound on the threads before installing the new sensor....

Even easier, if you buy a GM sensor (which you should since a lot of GM cars don't like Bosch sensors), the anti-seize comes on the threads.
 
The Goop was the Anti-Seize..I just called it goop, figured you would know what I was talking about, But thanks for going to the extent of wik for the definition of Goop Jake that helped a bunch.:th_eyesrolling:

Anways..Thanks for the advise guys, I will look into the GM version..

Make sure you have the proper Oxygen sensor socket to remvoe the old and install the new. Makes the job so much easier!
 
It is a bit of a pain if it has never been out before, but is straight forward. Roll the engine forward to give more access to it, and use a socket designed for O2 sensors. You will probably need an extension or two, and a breaker bar helps because it has a swivel built in.
 
Yeah, Piece of cake :eek:. But I will try it myself, just dont want to blow a 40-50 dllr part trying to be MR FIX IT, when I am a Noob..
