Front end vibrations at high speed and braking

Yet another update. The dealer inspected the car again, claims the vibrations could be a bad tire. They road forced balanced and rotated the tires. All the tires balanced out correctly. Yet, the vibrations are still there. The dealer said nothing was wrong with the suspension/front end parts. All the components checked out good. I'm at a loss with this vehicle. I don't want to throw money at tires if that's not going to solve the problem. The car sounds like a semi truck driving down the road....

you need tires!

he just put new rotors on it.

his tire are most likely messed up, the steel belts tent to unwind under the rubber. his tire may even have a hop to it, or egg shape, but cant see or feel it till its going 60 mph.

i had i tire like this on my car when i bought it, thought it was a bent rim, but the tire was egg shaped when spinning fast. most tire balance machines don't do 60 mph, so you cant tell, they still balance on the machine.

Yeah, two sets of rotors in fact. Some very good points here. I'll pop in to a tire store tomorrrow.

It turns out the balance was way out of whack along with two bent rims. The dealer that said they road forced balanced the tires obviously did not do the job. After a visit to Discount Tire today I quickly learned the tires were seriously out of balance. Thanks for the advice and suggestions.

How were the calipers? Did the guide pins slide freely in the calipers?

On the topic of warping: Most of the time its cheap pads.

EBC reds and econo rotors here. Stock 10.92" rotors as well.

No warping.

^^ This. Cheap pads can ruin a set of rotors fairly quickly. Cheap pads can ruin a set of cheap rotors even faster. I did the brakes for my neighbor on their minivan. She wanted to use the cheapest stuff. Three months later, she was asking me to do it over with better parts because she couldn't stand the squeeling and vibration anymore.
