Front end vibrations at high speed and braking

I have a question regarding my 08 GP. I have replaced the F/R brakes, F/R rotors, and right front wheel hub and the vehicle still vibrates at high speeds (driving and braking). I've thrown over $600 into this car in the past month and it's only five months out of bumper to bumper warranty. I'm at at a loss, this car only has 34K miles on the clock. It's ridiculous how things are falling apart already. OK, sorry, had to vent. Does anyone have any ideas? I was told to check CV joints (although I don't know how that relates to braking). I learned that the axles are covered under the powertrain warranty so I plan a visit to the dealer soon.

have you tried to rotate the front tires to the back, and backs to the front yet, a bad tire will vibrate all the time, and while braking.

could be axle's too, but if its under warranty take it in for that check up and or repair.
 
oh yes, forgot to mention that, I had the dealer rotate and balance the tires. Problem still there. Thanks for responding. I agree, the dealer will have to have a crack again at this vehicle.
 
CV joints = axles.

Have you had the tires balanced?

No, havent done an alignment yet. The vehicle drivers pretty straight so that hasn't been suggested (at this point).
 


I think all signs are pointed to the right side. Would a bad axle cause vibration in braking too? It's strange, the vehicle has no vibrations driving around town at 45-50 mphs. All the symptoms occur at higher speeds > 65 mphs.

After I lowered my car I didn't get it aligned for 4 months and it drove straight. A buddy of mine that did the alignment said it was all over the place.

Just a though since an alignment is much cheaper than axles.

In fact now that I think about it I believe that I used to have some sort of alight vibration that was fixed with an axle...

how old are your tires? if you have a friend with the same tire and rim size, swap out the fronts with him, tires dont last for ever, and sometimes suck.

theres a guy here had similar problem, turned out to be a bad tire. found it on a high tech balancer of some sort.

Dealer just called back. They said it's more than likely a bad tire or tires and the rotors are bad. The axles appeared to be fine. I just replaced the rotors three days ago for the second time. The first set warped after a week. The dealer says they're definitely warped rotors causing vibrations when braking. I guess that's what I get for buying rotors from AutoZone.
 
to be honest my a/c delco rotors i put on in december have warped already. all it takes is one arse to cut ya off so you have to slam on the brakes and they warp in these cars.

Yea, but 3 days? That's just crazy. if AC delco rotors suck, what are my options? AutoZone agreed to give me my money back. But what else does that leave me?
 
Y'all must be doing something wrong because I've never had rotors warp on me with all of the autoXing I've done with these brakes, still very smooth.

I don't mean to sound rude, but how the hell can you do something wrong? Rotors only go on one way. Torque to spec, etc. What else am I missing?
 
I have no idea, I may not know since I've never done it. I'm not using anything special either, just regular blanks like you have, mine are from Carquest. Didn't mean to come across as rude but I never see how street cars do it when I never have with how I can drive sometimes.
 
im using pro stops from pep boys, they seem to last, they are over a year old now and not warped. i used them in my 03 gmc 2500 hd, did the pads and rotors all around, the pads lasted longer than the stock pads by 10,000 miles or so.

so i got the same brand for my regal.

on another note, see if you can swap tires/wheels, with a friend or family member, to rule out your tires, or just get 2 new front tires, bad tires do all sorts of messed up stuff to a front end.
 


Just to let people know, new brake rotors warping is starting to be very common. I know it sucks but I was shocked when the rotors warped on a brand new hi-perf GM with 1500 miles on it. And I wasn't hard on the brakes either. Got all 4 rotors turned and the vibe is gone. Dealer did front 2 but still some vibe so I pulled the back 2 off and done for $30.

Seems its the material and processing they using for rotors these days. The more expensive rotors are more immune to this.
 
Yet another update. The dealer inspected the car again, claims the vibrations could be a bad tire. They road forced balanced and rotated the tires. All the tires balanced out correctly. Yet, the vibrations are still there. The dealer said nothing was wrong with the suspension/front end parts. All the components checked out good. I'm at a loss with this vehicle. I don't want to throw money at tires if that's not going to solve the problem. The car sounds like a semi truck driving down the road....
