97 GTP. I'm having this popping on driver side i think and sometimes a sliding metal sound from front to back on passanger side when I brake and then take off. Here's the extensive list of what I have replaced. Both cv axels, both sway bar bushings, top motor mounts, transmission/ rear motor mount, passenger side hub and ball joint, driver side tie rod end by wheel, front struts, strut mounts. Most of these needed to be replaced. The front motor mount was replaced about 12k ago. I am completely out of ideas besides the control arm bushings, they do have 200K on them, but do not look deteriorated or cracking. If ANYONE has ideas please let me know. I can not stand sounds out of the ordinary in my car and that people outside can here. Makes me feel my car is crappy! Thanks.
 


When did you do the sway bushings. One of my first thoughts was the sway bar end has finally cracked/broken and is rubbing. The take off/stopping sounds are quite common when the end breaks.
 
Replaced all those things about three weeks ago. Got a break from class and at a shop right now will see if they can figure it out. Will keep you posted.
