Front end noise - in the cold.

Hey guys. Basically, my car has always run great for me. Except for an undetermined whine coming from under the hood, I've never had any real concerns with my car. Lately, here in Iowa, it's gotten cold as sh*t. Now, this is probably the coldest it's ever been since I've gotten my car, and I've lately started hearing a weird noise coming from in front of me whenever I start my car while it's cold. The sound seems to get louder as the tachometer climbs, and then dies down when the engine goes back down to idle. It's pretty hard to describe, so maybe I'll be able to get a video of it. I was just wondering if anybody knew off the top of their head what might be going on. It's just a weird noise coming from the front end whenever I start my car up on a cold start. It's not there in the heat, and the sound directly corresponds with the engine RPMs.

I lean towards ps pump. Mine is about 5k miles old and it whines like hell when its this cold, once the engine is warm it goes away.

What kind of noise? I'm with FFDP. Could be anything. I'd worry about it if it's still there warm. And also, people should be letting their cars heat up anyways before driving. Mine sounds like a rocket when I start it in the cold LOL

I've never noticed it in the warm, I was speculating that it was the PS pump. It's kinda undescribeable, and I forgot to get a video of it today.
