Front camera power source

2007 GP base. Putting camera on front windshield. Need power source that goes off/on with key. The cigarette plugs are both hot. Any suggestions that are fairly simple or am I going to have to bit the bullet and run new wiring from fuse box. Suggestions would be appreciated.

It's better to run a clean wire and its really easy, follow the front of the headliner to your pillar trim, down the pillar and into the fuse box. You can hide the wires easily.

That said as stated above the radio fuse is the best spot I know of. Maybe the DRL fuse, though I'm not sure if anyone has tried that yet.

I will also say, look into the dash cam you buy. Some can be lined to constant 12 as their "standby" is very batter neutral. One of the perks of a cam like this, is being able to have it wake up if someone backs into you while parked, it will wake up long enough to hopefully see who/what hit you.
