Fresh Wax after a fresh motor

Recently got my car back after replacing the motor and supercharger (I blew the motor once already, we believe we have have been given a naturally aspirated motor second time around causing it to blow so fast) and immediately washed and waxed the sucker.

That was of course a week ago, but so where the pictures I took. Didn't get much out of it because it was overcast and I wasn't familiar with the camera.

Rear bumper is in need of a repaint and I need a new bracket to get my exhaust to stay up, as I knocked mine out. >_>

Nice car. How did you manage to blow 2 motors already? It is a clean looking car, but i think it would be better with a headlight clean up, clear corners and tinted taillights... or you could get black headlights and paint the wheels black..

everyone always suggests to do the same thing.. black wheels, projectors and tinted tails lol.. some difference are nice.. btw i like the tails.. what are they/howmuch/where? lol

Definatly a nice wax job

Those are Carbon Fiber Euro Altezza Tail Lights. I do not plan on tinting them, unless I replace them with LED lights. Not sure at the moment. I've cleaned up the headlights once already, but the driver side especially is just so far in, no amount of sanding, buffing, anything cleared it up enough.

I do plan on, if I have the time and money, some black housed halo projectors, mainly just to get the angel eyes. I'm not sure if they make them with clear corners? I'd rather not pop open a pair of halo projectors and take out the amber reflector, too much money to experiment there with.

Also, here are some of the exact same lights, new on ebay. I think these are cheaper than what I got mine for even.

black wheels on black cars is so 5 years ago. be original and get something else. black on black is LAME.

Agreed. If I put wheels on it, they'll be sport-styled dual-5 spoke chrome 18" wheels. Or something to that effect.

these are my wheels.. im thinkin of painting the faces graphite and the inner area silver, or vice versa.. ive got a green GP, so im thinking dark grey will work as accent colours.

Not trying to be a meanie, but black on black is 5 years ago.. and chrome on black is so 60 years ago. Not saying i don't like it becuase i quite enjoy black and chrome.

I personally said nothing about black on black. =P

Also, those are nice stockers. I wish I had some like those. Or those chrome tri-spoked ones.

What I really want for wheels are some chrome Bonneville GXP rims. Anyone want to trade? =P

Putting an NA motor with the blower, etc wouldn't make it blow up any quicker...unless whoever put it in didn't know what they were doing. Car looks clean!

It blew after about 6 months. And my mechanic is a jackass. I think something is loose on my engine, and the supercharger is already rattling, so the guy that sold it is going to fix my old one and put it... some day. >_>

And the car is only pretty from a distance. Needs paint and interior work. It's salvaged title and the bottom of the car is a bit of mess, i think some of the frame under the car is actually a bit crushed. Interior is mostly clean, still working on it.

i doubt a NA engine had anything to do with the engines blowing. NA bottom end will make more hp with the same top end as a L67 due to the compression ratio difference. id blame it more on the man behind the wrench or the man behind the wheel. also for my curiosity what kind of plugs were you using and pulley size?

I have lots of family in La Porte City. I was actually born in Waterloo. Also have lots of friends up at UNI and go there every now and then. I'm in Ames.

That's pretty cool. I've lived here all my life, though I still have a lot of life to live...

As far as any other additions/changes to the car, I'm thinking I might go with a Black/Blue theme, in which case I'll probably end up repainting the calipers blue.
