• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Found the issue with my transmission. *UPDATE 8/11/13*

Well as most of you know something broke in my trans off the line at Atco last month. IT was either the TC which was giving me issues for a while before Atco or the 300M input shaft.

Dropped the trans today and there is was ......................a broken 300M IS.

I was very surprised that it was the IS. I really thought it was the TC for which I bought a new Precision TC from Dave at TEP. Better to have the best TC anyways. As mentioned, the TC was giving me issues. Might take it to Pro Torque and have them open the TC up to take a look.

This saturday I'm gonna open the trans and take a look around. Fluid was still nice and red. Little metal which probably from clutches and TC issues. Going to send Dave the Valve body to examine an replace all solenoids.

Here is a vid of the run I broke.

Here's a pic of the IS

Re: Found the issue with my transmission.

JB weld fixes anything. LOL

This actually is my second IS I broke. Broke one back in 2006

Re: Found the issue with my transmission.

New 300M IS in on the way. Ordered some other stock pars to replace while car is apart. LOL

New Hayden Trans cooler has been installed. Power washed aluminum subframe. Fixed bad ABS wiring. It's amazing how much suff you can do when a car is apart.

Update - 7/22/13

While I was away on vacation I sent the whole Valve Body unit to Dave at TEP to check out. Last thing I want is to put trans back in just to have to take out again.

Dave is an outstanding guy and great to deal with.

Here is what he found and is fixing and upgrading.

- The pump appeared to have some scoring like it was started dry on fluid at one point. Needs to be rebuild and replace parts
- Since I'm turbo, upgrade the valve body with a few newer parts. Two valves changed for any build in the 375+whp range now that give higher line pressure and a great addition to keep clutches alive on high powered builds.
- New valve body spacer plate
- PCS Solenoid
- TCC Solenoid

Update - 8/11/13

Trans and GP was put back together a few days ago. Drove her then and today. Trans and car feels GREAT. Trans shifts so good. No more shutter. The shutter was either a bad TC which most feel it was or the problem with the VB. Either way, I'm happy.

Will be doing a track rental in Oct.

With the new VB fixes and upgrades and with the bigger trans cooler now, the trans run much cooler.
