Found ebay Deal

GTPluv

New member
I was messing around on ebay tonight. Found an '05 GTP for sale. I think it was in Pa. No reserve!! Bid was at $3250. It had 110k highway miles. But If I was closer, I would really look into it. Just thought maybe someone might be interested. It's silver. Do they not have the GTP badges on the door anymore? This one didn't, but it had the one on the trunk.

too bad it's not close enough to test drive. My worst fear would be that whomever owned it had "poorchoicedly" modded it.:D

No, they didn't put badges on the side of the car starting in 04+, just that little GM emblem that every other GM has. That looks like a good deal though, I've started liking the 04+ GP's a lot more lately.

It has so many miles, so I figured maybe it was used for work. But if you want a car for work or the highway, why did they get a GTP? Woulnd't you get a plain car for better milage?

My SS gets better gas milage than my LS. So mpg may not be the reason. If it were a fleet vehicle it would probabaly have been NA. We offer the Impala and GP na to our field management for company cars. IF they wanted the s/c they have the option to pay the difference.

If anyone is TRULY interested in buying this and is farther away, let me know and I could probably swing by for a test drive for you. Its about and hour + away from me.

Also, you never people's situations. If they bought the car with the intentions of driving hwy all the time, sure they may pick a more appropriate vehicle. But maybe the purchased the car when they were only driving 10 miles a day. And then got let go, so they had to take a job where they traveled 100 miles a day. You never know....

Also, I know of a couple sales people that I deal with for big companies. They are on the road all the time. And every 3 years or so, they get a set amount of money for a vehicle. Since they have to drive it all the time, the company lets them pick what they want. They get the specs and as long as it does not go over the price tag the company set, they will buy it for them. And most of them have company credit cards for gas, so mileage isn't a problem.

You just never know enough to be able to make assumptions like that...
