Forza 4 - A Microsoft Story

So I pre-ordered Forza 4 Collector's Edition from the Microsoft Story (only because I wanted their pre-order bonus) when I could've got free 2-day shipping from Amazon instead, cause I'm picky like that.

WELL so Microsoft sends me an email yesterday telling me that instead of getting my game Monday, they've upgraded my shipping to overnight and I'd receive it Wednesday, today. I checked tracking and it seemed COMPLETELY off, and surely enough, I never received it.

So, about to rage on Microsoft, I head to my e-mail and see I have one from them. This is what it said:
"Dear Sean,

I'm writing to apologize. I wanted to upgrade your Forza Motorsport 4 Limited Collector's Edition to free overnight shipping, but unfortunately, your order went out with ground shipping. Your satisfaction is my top priority and I have taken steps to make sure you get your game as quickly as possible. A new copy of Forza Motorsport 4 Limited Collector's Edition was sent to you with overnight shipping and you should receive this within 24 hours of this email. I will also refund the full cost of your original purchase and am giving you a promo code, so the next time you buy a game from us, it is free. By next week, you will get your original order, so this means you will have an extra copy of Forza Motorsport 4 Limited Collector's Edition. This is yours to keep."

Along with the code for a free game and other such details.
So, two free copies of Forza 4 LCE, overnight shipping on one, and a free game of my choice.
Microsoft, you're pretty great.
 


M$ is pretty good about that kind of stuff. I remember when the huge hype about the RRoD on the 360, and if you *****ed enough they would throw in games. I know someone got like 3 free games, a wireless controller, and wireless headset... just for *****ing..
 
I didn't even have to *****. They caught the error themselves.
Forza 4 LCE is $85. I'm getting two for free. That's $170 in games.
 
Right on. I used to get discounts through work from the Microsoft store. We changed our licensing so that doesn't happen anymore :(
 


Bummer.
But yeah, coupon works for sure though. I used it on Fable 3 since wanted it, but heard a lot of the good stuff had to be bought as DLC so I didn't want to pay full price for it. And now I won't. :P
 


My friend has gotten like 2 free games from gamestop, by ordering online, then cancelling, both were pre-orders, they randomly came in the mail haha
 


Really, I'm in just such a good mood. Nothing makes your day quite like $200+ in free stuff.

I also entered a contest the other day that could potentially award me another copy. Lolz. If that happened...
