Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Forced Induction.

Okay. So, I have found a Evo 16g Turbo, and inter-cooler for relativitly cheap. I want to do something to this sluggish 3.1 in my prix.
I am planning on doing the piping myself.
Any thoughts on it?

Also some concerns.

How much boost can my motor safely handle?
How much will my fuel efficeny be?
Should I buy a boost controller?
What are some good places to get my computer tuned to adjust the fuel/air ratio

Are you sure you want to put that effort into a 1994 GP?

I would hesitate to go above speed limit in said device.

Well, I already have over 5000 dollars invested into the car. The motor is new, and the tranny is also. So I figure, might as well not.

I got a ticket yesterday for 95 in a 55. Cop looks at my car, and then looks at me and was like, how the hell do you get that car to go 95. I was like. My car runs on hopes and dreams.

Cool story.

Should have gone to jail for a 40 over.

You need plug wires pulled off, not more power.

Remember your awesome "I have a Whipple" story? Yeah, I do to. You're power steering pump was bad.

honestly, i dont think its worth all the work. an l67 swap would be way more reliable and you can make good power on stock internals.

1) not sure how much boost youll be able to handle. you should be able to achieve a decent amount on stock internals.
2) fuel efficiency will probably go down a little because youll most likely be on it more.
3) YES buy a boost controller.
4) you need to tune yourself. i think DHP tuner will tune OBD 1.5 but if not youll have to swap to OBD 2 to get full benefits.

on top of this. you should check all of your suspension components' conditions. you dont want to be going 100 mph and have a ball joint fail.
your transmission is going to give out too.

I would have went to jail for a 50 over, actually, would have been considered reckless driving. But anyways, On the swap idea, When I was looking for a motor to replace the blown one, I wanted to do a 3400 swap, but my mechanic refused to do it, because it required him to drill into the block for some kind of coolant sensor I believe, couldn't be 100% positive. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the 3.1 is aluminum, and then I was just thinking, if it's aluminum, and I tried any sort of forced induction, wouldn't the block warp, or anything to that nature, from more pressure being put on the internals?

Most of don't have experience with boost being used with those engines, thus you're going to get a lot of 3800 swap suggestions.

i doubt it would warp the block. 1989-1991 they had turbocharged 3.1's from the factory. same block but a less efficient top end.

and i have never heard of anyone having to drill in a block for a coolant sensor for a 3400 swap lolwut
