Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

for those who own sd air dam

i missed out on a deal for 350 for a white hood i didnt even need to paint and it was like 40 min away

Dang, that sucks dude. Seriously..it blows big hairy monkeys...:( I'm curious as to how much a hood will cost to ship from a private seller lol.....

i was willing to pay for shipping and a new hood but 850 for painting it and a spoiler i said eff that

I can't say that I blame you there..my fear of how much it will cost to paint the hood alone is leading to my decision to wait and paint the whole car as it needs it bad lol.

Shipping on that darn sd air dam would be cheaper if pfyc would stop putting the things in boxes twice the size of the air dam.

Luckily i got a pretty sweet deal off the forum here for a new one that the guy never ended up using, for 230 shipped. What stopped me from buying one of PFYC there stupid shipping prices its just ridicules patience pays off literally lol If i were you get the hood first i think there is more of that in the forums then the air damn..

Tint 5% all over 50% in the front cant even see me in the day light through the front lol

im about as far you can go to the northeast corner of illinois

actually i'm further east than you :th_nanana: lol

but have you checked out the hood that PokerBlake has? he lives in kenosha and is selling his for 400

yeah i know i was gonna buy it but too much for the fiberglass to be fixed and painted

I have my eye on that one too...still kinda iffy with the repair work that needs to be done..as you said..but I don't know the first thing about body work or how much it runs..I've never had any done lol

That hood is an easy fix. And for the ones who say Maaco does horrible work your not entirely correct. Yes by no means do they do top quality work, but if you bring them a prepped car and they spray it, it doesn't come out that bad. My friend has a car lot and he took many cars there and there actually not as bad as everyone makes them out to be. Sure there paint is not the best but for the price it is its not that bad, what do you expect a $300 paint job to look like lol

Well, my car is already black..I am looking to keep it black..I know jack about prep work and will have 1300 roughly to work with..hopefully that can get me something decent lol.

Depends on what shop. If you lived close Id hook you up lol, but really it depends. If you want it blended into the bumper and fenders it would be alot more then just spraying the hood itself along with underneath. To spray the bottom and top of the hood if you did the body work and sanded it Maaco would probably charge like $150 and you could just bring them the hood and not leave your car so you dont have to worry about them not tapping it right.
