flat paint

Has anybody on this site painted an 04-08 grand prix with flat or satin black paint? Wondering what it would look like. Does anyone have pictures?
I painted my son's cavalier with Sem hot rod black and it turned out awesome. No steaks and it leaves no marks when you rub it. It washes great
and there are no lines when I towel it dry.

Was wondering if anyone tried painting 04-08 grand prix with flat or satin black paint. I painted my son's cavalier with SEM hot rod black, which is a satin finish and it turned ouy great.
It does not leave marks when you rub it and it leaves no streaks when I wash it and towel it dry. It will not chalk or fade with time. Has anyone got pictures if you painted your gp flat
or satin black?

i personally think the lines of the car don't work with flat colors, but there's gonna be people that come in here at the opposite side of the spectrum.

a few people have done it...

edit: i also merged your threads. you do not need two on the same exact subject in two different places just for more exposure. naughty.

sorry about the double post, i'm not very good at this so i guess i have to be more careful.

I would say save the flat black for the Harleys and rat rods. I saw a STI with flat black once, turned out decent. Flat black accents look good as racing stripes or on rims. I would just never do a whole car flat. Just my $.02, but to each their own. If you paint it flat show pics!

Personally I have to agree.

I LOVE the look of matte colors on certain cars. Such as these.

But I haven't seen a Grand Prix in any year model, done in any Matte Color and it look good IMO. Ever.

I would say for it to be done right, you would have to have multiple visual mods on the car so it really sets it off. Otherwise it looks like a cheap assholes car that was painted with spray paint because he couldn't afford a proper paint job.

Take the Panda, for instance.

Use your imagination and apply a Matte Black color to this car, some carbon fiber accents, and silver wheels for contrast and I think it would look sharp.
