Flashing Security Light and car stalling after a few minutes

So I bought a second GTP (2001) that was more modded than mine (2000) with the intenet of swapping motors and selling the second GTP. The second car has a L32 swap, XP cam, Intercooler, etc. I finished the swap (including computer for the tune) last night and started the 2000. It ran fine for a few minutes then would shut off. I would start it back up, run for a few minutes, then shut off. All this time, I have no check engine lights and only the security light is flashing.

My questions are these: Is the coded key/ignition locked to a certain PCM? What would I have to do to make the 2001 PCM work in my 2000...switch the ignition cylinders in the steering column?

Thanks.

All you should need to do is relearn the key. Although it's odd that it ran for a few minutes before stalling. Typically the security system wouldn't enable the fuel pump and injectors after the fuel prime at key on. You may have other issues.

What he said ^^^^ Also, did you try your spare key to see if it had the same issue? If not, you know its just the one key.

How much coolant did it take after the swap. Anything under 2-3 gallons and it's likely air bound and heating up.

That's a possibility. It only took a quart, and I know that's not enough. How would I go about filling it? Remove the t-stat housing and pour coolant straight in there?

As an "oh **** thought"...could I have hurt the motor?

Relax..pretend I've "seen" this one before which is how I picked up on it. Motor is fine..

yeah pull the T stat. It'll likely chug down a gallon or two like it just came out of the desert.

No just take the rad cap off and fill till it doesn't suck anymore in and the level stays at the neck. Then fill up the reservoir and be done. Then bleed the system.

air pockets are a pain in the ass with GM cars follow the bleed procedure and you will be fine should be a bleeder on the t/stat housing be careful hot steam may come out, hint check the heat output in the car if u have no heat you have air in the system , been through this too many times, as far as the key issue goes let it re learn, reaally should not have even started with that problem
