Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

fixing the supers crappy work.

so a while back the crapper in the apt above me was leaking, they had to cut a hole in my ceiling.

as you can see a distinct out line of th erepair, whys that you ask? cause the dumb ass used 3/4 sheet rock to repair, yup you guess it 1/2 sheet rock. he did a crappy job from start to finish, didnt even try to feather it in.

some Spackle found its way in my hands, and i could not help my self. i asked the head super for paint, and fixed it cause as trivial as it is, im tall and see it all the time.

my work all painted up and done.

nothing like a oz of pride used on your work. he didnt even sand his work, it was dry, he painted, it im like wtf you doing????? but im not paying him, so i had to let it go. better then a hole in the wall.

My wife would have done better

it looked like it was his first time. he used mesh tape. if you ever used that you know you stick the tape to the sheet rock seam and press it on nice, then mud it up, nope, this JO did it like he was using paper tape. mud first, then tried to lay the mesh in, and you know how much fun that bs is lol

i also tore up the two corner beads from the entrance to the kitchen when i installed the new fridge solo, the main reason for getting the spackle. that was getting ugly and i f ed it up, so it had to get it fixed up.

Mine is a yellow. Like, piss yellow. Lol

And I'm not allowed to change the color, either.

i asked for the generic paint they use on all the apt. they are all this color. if you change it you have to at least prime the rooms you painted a new color or pay the fee when you leave.

will be good time to rent a airless sprayer and just go to town on the place, cause this place got a new color lol

the fixed corner beads. both sides got fugged up.

you can almost see my illegal water line to my ice maker under the cable line and the rug to hard floor. lol while it was all messed up i dug up the bottom and ran a water line to the fridge on the other side of that doorway.

I hate painting and suck at it, so my wife does most of it, I did help stain the deck, and she still complained that I missed spots. well, I was very methodical about it and told her so, I think the wood just soaked up the stain better in some spots.

i cant stand painting either, but this was only touch up repair work. being as old as the paint on the walls is im really surprise how well it blended in as it dried.

rolling and spraying is fun, trim can eat a dick. Muddin is fun too when its on my house, otherwise I dont care for it much.

p.s pic of bedroom?

Tell the truth, SD... you like the looks of the upstairs neigh and needed to install a new perv-cam :th_lipssealed1::p

id love to work here. it took 2 guys 45 minutes to change the petcock in the toilet tank. then when they left it failed to flush at all. so of course i had to go my hands wet and re adjust the chain to the flapper.

it was the actually the 4 inch pipe from that wax seal to the main sewer pipe. they had to call a plumber to fix. as you can see by the repair work they do, cutting a hole in a wall is a last resort.

the main super told me last winter, (why they had 20 guys shoveling it off of snow) was because one apt had a nasty leak that got so bad they ended up having to move them to another apt.

then she tells me they just found out it was the roof drain. now i can see this roof it has no drains, its all through wall scuppers to a leader heads thats nailed to the wall with a leader pipe to the ground, its also 3 storys tall. pipe freezes solid the leader head fills up, then its creeps into the warm air its getting from the bad seal on the wall. its a wick that dont stop leaking till the ice is gone.

when she said what it was i was like to bad i didnt talk to you sooner, next time rip the leader head off and hammer the ice off the wall and the leak stops. its called ice creep and a failed scupper seal on the out side. aka crap roofer sealed, and the other 3 crews of roofers also missed this.

now moral of the story is, if they had cut a hole in the wall they would have seen the leak coming from the scupper a long ass time ago.

thank god these guys dont need a boiler lic, no way they would pass the test. we got electric everything here, even the heat.

oh, i used to be a commercial roof lol why i have this insight other just dont. my last 7 years all i did was fix leaks. i was pretty damn good at it too.

we need a smiley that pats its self on the back lol

Fill out an application for giggles.

They probably need someone who can do decent work. We all know you can do it.
