On 2/28 I took my car to the drag strip for the first time since finishing the rebuild back in September. I didn't have any troubles and I was very happy with how well it ran.

It ran 13.57s @ 102.87mph on the first run. The last 3 runs were consistent 13.7x. All runs were done on street tires.

Here's a video of the first run against my buddy's 2015 Ford Focus ST:

Sounds like that takes a lot skills to rebuild our motors right and be successful.:th_thumbsup-wink:

I'm on Tapatalk, so, mods?

And nice run.

you went all out tho, shop and all. and it cost you some. most back yard rebuilds have no shop time invested, and wing it together. = fail.

Sounds like that was too close to the home.:th_laugh-lol3:

seen it happen more then a few times here in the last 6 years. it hardly ever works out well. hell one guy had a shop rebuild it, and it lasted 50 feet lol

its the cost for me, im not spending 2500 to rebuild a engine for a car thats only worth 2000 maybe. makes no sense at all.

my engine took a crap and i tossed in a top swapped set up for like 400. thats all new gaskets oils coolant bolts porting tools paint included.
