• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

First post, need some help :)

As the title suggests, I am brand new so forgive me if I didn't post this in the right spot. I have a 2000GTP with the DIC that has no lights. If I shine a light at the DIC you can see it, so the bulbs are just burnt out. I've read about a GM bulb (#24 I think?) but if someone could clarify I'd appreciate it.

Also, I am having issues on trying to take the trim pieces off to get to the DIC. I feel like im gonna break the dash or atleast crack it. Any good threads/tips on getting this peice off? Thanks!

I'm not sure about the bulb.. but as far as the dash goes just make sure you remove the plastic cover underneath the steering wheel. It is held on by two clips at the front and two plastic rivet clips near the back (the back ones should be pried or pulled out carefully and may need replacing after the fact). Once the rear rivets are removed pull the whole piece towards you (towards the drivers seat) and the front two clips should just pop out. After that the main dash bezel can be removed. It has clips holding it on all the way around its edges so just work your way around popping them out one at a time. It will help to tilt the wheel as far down as possible to remove it once the clips have been released. Also don't forget to disconnect the plug for the fog light switch as you are removing it.

Thank you for the quick response! This and the Fiero forums both seem to be very quick with people replying. You mentioned that the two rear rivet clips will probably need to be replaced after they are removed. Any idea where I can get more? Im assuming auto part stores sell them but I figured I would ask.

BTW, nice engine mods. I plan on taking a L67 and swapping it into my fiero one day.

Yeah the clips can be had at any auto parts store. just a very basic rivet clip. the kind that looks like a "christmas tree" lol. and engine swapping the fiero would be cool! just make sure you do alot of research! and thanks! the topswap is fairly recent. I've only put on about 1000 miles since the swap. you should check out my build thread if you want to know more about what i've done to my ride

I would love to see your build thread, I am stilling getting use to this site tho, can you post a link?
