First Mod

so i just got my new car '00 gtp and i love it. Im usually a four banger import kinda guy but i fell in love with the gtp when i first drove it. I do not know much about it tho and was wondering what is the best thing to do for the first modification. Ive heard exhaust and headers would be the first thing but ive also heard a 3.4 pulley would be a good mod too?? any help would be appreciated thanks

Happy to hear we could cure another one out of the 4-banger scene :)

Well you don't want to get a smaller pulley until you have supporting mods done first. Your best bet if you have money would be to get your headers done first and a 180*C T-stat. After that you could get a FWI (TDCRacing on this forum makes a great one, I will be getting his once holidays are over) New wires+Plugs and then drop pulley sizes to your 3.4" and don't forget to tune lol. If I forget anything people correct me, it is early I just woke up :)

All that sounds about right. You do not really need new wires tho. The stock ones will work just fine. A reprogrammed pcm would be great to.

headers and a 3.4 will transform the car completely.

plugs/thermostat i dont consider mods as they are just needed regardless.
as far as pcm, any canned tune will work fine.

DONT FORGET BASIC MANTINANCE FIRST ;)

x2 on basic maintenance first. Make sure your lower intake gaskets are in good shape, change the fuel filter, new PVC, plugs and wires, change the supercharger oil and be proactive and replace the coupler.

After that my first mod would be an intake. I like the Wizair, to which I would add an Amsoil or AEM DryFlow filter, but you can choose whichever intake you like.

After that it's all about how fast you want to go and what your budget looks like.
