So got my open cone in finally and DAMN what a difference. Should have done this a long time ago the whine is sooo much louder than before at wot lol. No complaints whatsoever

soo.... what did your "custom intake" look like... HAI, FWI?

seat of the pants feel, or just more whine?

Well the custom intake was just a gutted airbox but just switched to a short ram intake, straight open cone, pics coming up tomorrow

oh and to answer your questions, yes and yes lol

So there's a pic pretty much the basic setup with the ghetto zip tied iat.

And blue... yeah ya told me so lol

imo. i run a open cone right now. and in arizona its a really bad idea. it was 73* outside today and my iat* was 100* when driving and tunning. and would be anywhere from 120-150 when at a red light:/ i will go back open cone when i intercool but till then its back to fwi out here in the desert lol.

Well my IAT's run around ambient, maybe 10degrees cooler while driving. At idle I get closer to 135-150. (IAT sensor is about 1" infront of the TB, running a 9"cone in a box)

I may do an open cone, to see if theres any difference.

my iat is ziptied to the side of my filter. its just not worth it. iv tried moving the sensor ontop of the filter to get away from the headers and no luck there either. i didnt even realize how how the air coming in was till we messed with the tune today lol.
