Hey all! Last week I upgraded from a 3.1 se to a 2000 3.8 gt :) Im looking to do more visual mods first then maybe a top swap later. I do have a question the gt is the dark hunter metallic, I want to paint the rims a nice deep gold or bronze just don't know what it would look like? I'll post pics once I get on the computer :)

I've thought about black wheels and gold inlays. It has 3 chrome wheels and a flat silver one so the wheels are getting painted unless I find a set for cheap
 
Ok cool! I also have a question about a cone air filter. I want to just stick it on the end of the stock hose but I checked and it won't fit. The cone I have has a 4' opening could I just remove the whole set up (the hosing and the air box) and put the cone directly on the throttle body?

Also search simple intake in the search bar. A wrote up will come up it's simple and will sound better than a filter on stock tubing

Lol something less restrictive then stock air box. I don't wanna mess anything up so just taking the whole thing out and puttin a cone on the end of the throttle body sounds easy to me

Your still gonna need a rubber coupler for the iat sensor. There has a been a couple debates over if you can just zip tie it close to the filter but I would put it in
 
That was my thinking as well. I will mess with it in the next couple of weeks and post pics when I'm done with it!
