Finally!!! Triple Edge Performance 4T65E Stall Converters!

Trannyman95

Transmission Expert
After months and months of searching for a reputable company that gives not only one of the best warranties in the industry but also a lockup clutch that was specifically designed for PWM TCC operation, We are proud to announce that we offer high performance stall converters for the 4T60E/4T65E. Since we are working with a major performance converter company every converter, like our transmissions, is built specifically for YOUR application, not the shelf. These converters are rated up to 650 HP levels and carry a full 2 year warranty! These stall converters are not designed for WOT lockup and will retain stock lockup operation that will not require special pcm tuning. The torque converters will have a base cost of $574.95 plus shipping. These will be a 245mm based converter so a drilled L67 flexplate, L36 flexplate, or Billet flexplate with correct hole pattern will be required. Our upgraded converter over this one features a custom machined billet steel back cover that has a dual bolt pattern to work with either flexplate and also features a special custom sized larger lockup clutch disc for greater durability, and due to the nature of the construction is much stronger and wont have the deflection under severe loads like a stock cover will have. These torque converters are $749.95. As I have mentioned several times over the years, a good quality converter is not cheap and you can be assured that you will be buying a top quality converter that last a long time, handle big HP, and retain great lockup operation. Build time is typically 3-5 days plus shipping time. For any questions or order info please email us a [email protected]. Vehicle, engine, and transmission information IS REQUIRED before any order is processed!!!

I havent weighed them side by side and honestly the weight is not a concern of mine or the converter builder. The biggest problem with the larger 258mm converter that is standard in the supercharged cars is that cores are very hard to get and are expensive, where the 245mm converters are readily available and also what almost every converter builder uses for a base for performance rwd stall converters after a few changes are made. I prefer the 258mm converters for a few reasons and the main one being the lockup clutch is a larger diameter. For those who havent talked with me about converters I will note this.... I always have and will continue to use and suggest using the stock style 258mm converter on M90 cars that are running into the high 11s. I include them in my rebuilds standard at no extra cost. I use them because they work and there is little to no reason to have any higher stall speed than what the stock one can provide. The reason behind offering a performance aftermarket converter is for cars making big power and also for the NA and Turbo crowd, as they do require stall speed changes and the turbo cars need a converter that is built stronger internally to handle the extra power and to allow the turbo to spool faster.

-Scotty, you will be just fine using and OE style converter for your car :th_winking:

Can't wait to get my trans!! Finally got the engine/trans out tonight and the trans is ready to go in the trunk of the Comp G for the IN trip this weekend!

Pretty sure I'll never approach the 1000+ hp range (maybe half), but glad to have the security and warranty nonetheless. Best in the business Dave and look forward to the finished build. I'm sure the trans will outlast the rest of the drivetrain. LOL.

NOW you post this up. LOL

doubt I'd need it anyway, but I'm glad to see you are finally getting them in!
