Ummm, lots and lots of people use these same rims, same size, same tires on FWD GTPs for many years (longer than you've been around). Do some research before you speak Mr. Wannabe GP expert.
BTW, why do I need wide tires and wide rims? Not running a 10 sec RWD car. LOL....

And many can do that with this setup. Check it out, ClubGP is the place. Alot of info over there about the QTPs. Many have been running QTPs for YEARS on torque stars 26/9.50/16. Hell, Street Wolf has a set too and he had such good things to say about them, I saved up and got my own! LOL. I've always wanted a set of these, now I can't wait to use them. I built my tranny just to be able to run these bad boys.
I think they'll be just fine for me. Now if I shoot for 10s, maybe i'll need to think of something else (BTW, i'm never shooting for 10s, at least not in this car and this platform)....

Nice! Thats what i've heard. It'll be alot better using these than street tires, not only wearing them out so fast but actully being able to hook instead of spinning through second will be nice change! LOL!
I got a few more tweaks and bugs to work out before I can finally use them, soon...

Depending on the burnouts and if you use them on the street at all, they can last a long time. Obviously most of use don't need to do a big time John Force burnout. Also I hear they drive real horrible on a FWD car. To make them last, I'll just use them at the track. I don't street race anymore, so there really no point in driving around with them on.
I'll get some pics of them on the car, probably at the track. I'm too lazy to slap them on for nothing! LOL

Why the flames people?? QTP's on Torque Stars or the crosslace rims - are really the way to go. how wide of a rim is "ideal" for GP's to run?? Who knows? Personally - it's more about track prep, tire pressure and ability to launch correctly...the slicks will do their job regardless of how "skinny" the rim is...unless of course you pull the rim off of your Schwinn...then you have a problem.
