finally a clean car

Winter took way too long and my car became way too dirty haha. Finally had a nice day to clean it. Used bug and tar remover, washed it, wheel cleaner, scratch remover, clay bar, wax, windexed all the windows, and some tire shine. Overall took a little longer than 5 hours. Came out good though I think. And that's my dads G6 in the background.

holy ****..... thats... clean n shiny :) good job.
i need to get mine waxed...... only another month before im allowed to do that, fresh paint sucks :)

Thanks everyone!

Jaren, I did switch the headlights but the lower grills will be going back in. I only took them out for winter. I actually meant to do that today and forgot haha.

Becky, fresh paint sucks? No, fresh paint is great :th_winking:

Chelsea, I used Meguiars scratch x 2.0 and it worked a lot better than I thought it would. Damn black paint though shows everything.

Mad Monkey, I thought out about but with the way the bumper is rounded I wasn't sure if it would stick out funny or anything. Maybe I will get one anyway because I don't like the fact it doesn't match either haha.

cant wait to get it done though :D

ive got a bottle of x2.0 and a claybar kit just waiting for me to get a decent day to work on it.. did you bar it first? or scratchx2.0 first?

I washed, used Meguiars clay bar, then the scratch x, then Meguiars Ultimate wax. I usually used tech 2.0 but this was something new I saw and wanted to try. I think it came out as good if not better than the 2.0.

yeah, i got a mothers clay kit (was slightly cheaper and had bigger bars) i was wondering about the ultimate wax i was looking at its fancy packaging and thinking it would be nice, but ive got a almost full bottle of 2.0 still.

did you do all by hand? or use any power?

Everything was by hand. My dad helped me do a little of the waxing and things like around the doors on the inside, in the trunk and under the hood because I helped him with his car but that was it. I really need to invest in a power waxer haha.
