Filling up gas cant pull trigger all the way

This may be really dumb but whenever i fill up if i press the gas trigger all the way in it will go for about 10 second and then click off like the tank is full but the tank still has more than 1/2 way to go, is this a common problem or a personal problem?

The tank might not be able to vent fast enough, try not having the gas fill nozzle all the way in, just have it part way in, which is still plenty to fill the car up and never spill.

any evap codes? The charcoal canister could be saturated with fuel, not allowing the system to vent properly. do you "top it off" a lot?

There is no other way to say it: "you have to pull it out". If I put the nozzle more than a 1/4 way in, same thing thappens filling my car.
So your not isolated in this case.

Common problem. I used to manage a convenience store/gas station. I was always having someone come in and say "your pumps dont work, you need to call them in for service" when i tell them to pull the nozzle out a bit, they get sheepish and apologetic.

lol figured it was universal just to make sure lol danm did i look stupid trying to fill up for the first time a while back
