filler neck....

I need a new filler tube for my 97 gp gt... first off where can I find one? and do I need to drop the tank to replace it?

They aren't cheap parts. I ordered a new one through a GM dealer for my GP.

I don't think you have to drop the tank. But it would make things so much easier.

Also there are some rubber hoses on the end of the filler neck. If those are in bad shape I'd highly recommend you replace those.

I believe in doing things once and doing them right.

just found out that 97 is in a year all to itself and gm does not any longer make them!!!! AWSOME!!! anyway I think I am going to climb under there and see if its just the rubber hose that sh*t the bed and maybe I can just put a new hose on. Does anyone have any pics of the rubber hoses from the neck to the tank while installed on the car??

97 may have been different from other years. But take a look at yours and take a trip to the junkyard. See if you can tell what's different. Then pick up the best one you find at the yard and be done.
