Fiero Fans?

Well i was layin in bed thinking about how easy all these mid size GM V6's can be swapped around, and it led me to think about how sweet it would be to see a L67 powered Fiero GT, so after some searching it seems fairly popular...which i think is totally badass! But from what i've found theres normally not a ton of modding this after the swap. Anyone seen this done yet?

Also i stumbled on the Fiero Mera edition which i've always like Fieros, but never been "in" to them so never looked much up, Figured i'd put this up for everyone like me who has never seen this, pretty damn sweet IMO for a factory late 80's GM. First pic is obviously a L67 swapped Fiero

me and a couple friends want to pick up a $300 fiero so we can do some dirt racing. gotta be a 4 banger though

the most i've seen was a non-northstar 4.9 cadi swapped one runnin around here with some god awefull american racing rims and lots of pinstriping

^^ those pictures....not fieros

my old auto mech teacher said it was the worst car gm ever made lol. would still be fun to pull 11's in it

Worst GM car ever? yeah right want a bout the crapy Aztek. I wouldnt mind a fiero skip the body kit, wheels and a 11 sec capable swap for WIN:th_thumb-up:

Yes the above car is a fiero.
It's a Fiero Mera, custom built by a company for pontiac based on the Ferrari 308.
They stopped production after 2K? units due to a lawsuit against Pontiac by Ferrari.

And they aren't crappy by any means, just could have been better built.
The design itself is awesome.
I own a 1988 GT fastback and it's the entire reason for me coming to this forum.

I bought a 1990 grand prix TGP and am swapping the 3.1 turbo engine/4spd trans into my 2.8/3spd auto car.

Also,if your interested in a fiero in KC area, get ahold of a guy named todd at the "fierofarm dot com"
He's in Sedalia area, and has many of them.

Lots of Fiero's around the KC area, there is a local club there that is pretty large.

Yeah,the 3x00 hybrid,L26/L67,4.9 and 4.6 N* are all good swap engines.
The 4.9 is extremely easy to install I understand, with the L67 being a close second.

Only issue with the 4.9 and N* swaps are the programming.
One guy has finally disassembled the stock programming enough that he can swap in segments from other PCM's.
He can't program them completely yet from what I understand but he has found a way to get the STS timing and stuff in there.

I'm putting a 3400 topend on my 3.1 turbo mcclaren engine with a T3 style turbo.
Mine should be almost straight forward swap with some adjustment's for axles and the 440t4/4t60 trans mount I think.

Still stripping the TGP so not sure how it will go yet.

Your uncle sounds like a fiero owner for sure.
I've had mine for about 4 months, and love it.
It's the funnest car i've owned, and i've owned some fairly nice cars.
I now own 2 other's besides my driver.
You can't own just one fiero, not possible.
Gotta have at least one for parts since so many parts are one-off.

Always wanted a fiero... The look BA!

Sometime I will probably get one and play around with it.

yea...that second one is a ferrari kit on a fiero...if you look close you can see the ferrari emblem on the hood...i was lookin up ferraris just for fun yesterday and saw one just like it on ebay.

lol, ok people, read the whole post, THIS IS A FIERO MERA! GM sent these cars out to have done, it was a FACTORY SOLD GM car, called a Fiero Mera, search it before you respond! Theres been like 3 posts on this who have confirmed these were GM produced. And just because the Fiero's are junk, doesn't mean there not a realitivly cool car for what they were, and have endless posiblities with drivetrains. Thats my point.
