few quick easy questions

Ok, I am still new the the forum and have been doing alot of reading around. I get a little lost with some of the abbreviations that are used and I am not sure what parts people are talking about. Is there a list of them that someone could post or point me in the direction to?! Sorry I know that sounds stupid. And secondly, where is a good place to buy a hood for my car? I will be doing an all over paint job soon and want a ram air hood. I already picked up an SLP spoiler(still wondering if it uses the stock mounting holes). Going to skip the roof rails cause it seems like alot of people are doing that so I wanna stray from the pack. I am also want to lower the car just a little bit. Not alot cause I am going to drive it everyday and i have a set of 20's that will be on it soon too. Any and all help on any of the above questions will be greatly appreciated.

3800 Performance sells a butt ton of hoods. So does PFYC.
 
The larger rims/tires tend to stress the tramsission. The 4T65 isn't known to be a very strong transmission overall.
 


thanks. ill check into the hood. the trans is being built up. im not racing this car.. is gonna be a daily driver. ill keep my stock wheels or buy some smaller, lighter ones if i wanna race it.
 
Just my $.02 concerning the rims...

20's are just way too big and fill to much of the wheel well. Besides having to work the geometry of the suspension, add spacers, and rolling your fenders is not worth the trouble.

Thanks. I appreciate the input.. For what i will have in them i cant beat them.. Maybe ill just get them and sell or trade em for something smaller. In all honestly.. I wanted 18" MSR 048's but would have more in just the wheels than what i can buy these 20's with like new tires.
