• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Few Questions

as much as i want to believe that you had a whipple on your car im not sure i can. there is like a grand total of like 20 people that have ever gone that far with a grand prix to try and put a whipple on it. hell, the mp112 hybrid setup was more popular.

im not doubting you, it just seems far fetched to me.

LOL, Okay I dont see how. I honestly don't see the big hype on the whipple! Could be why they no longer offer it for our cars on there site! I had the basic set up and was running a 3.4. I wanted more power and at that time all I heard was OMG get a whipple! So I did!! I sold the car before I ever got to run it at the track. Also I never got on the pc to get onto forums. My x-hubby did and took credit for the car! And all of the other cars I OWNED! Thats why when I got my 07 I was like screw this! Im going to make sure they know its MY CAR! I didn't do ANY work on my 05'! Thats why im SO excited this time because im doing it all on my own!!!

its hard to tune for this platform i guess. look at how well they do on the cobra's. its not whipples fault it cant be tuned for the 3.8. but as far as roots styles blowers go, whipple and kenne bell take that cake and are MILES ahead of an eaton.

X2...pics of the car? Or maybe pics that your "X" took? I'm just saying also that they came from WBS with a 4.0" Pulley too. 3.5" was a option as they use different style pulley's than just the standard press-on from Eaton IIRC.

true. and eatons are very good for that purpose. but nobody said anything about price, just hp numbers, which the whipple will out shine an eaton anyday in that catagory.

:D VERY NICE!! Too a point though...look at the new Eaton1900 Twin Stacked IC'ed Blower in the ZR1...if you look at a cross-section pic they are almost a twin-screw design, very quiet...very efficient. ;)

Like I said...I want to see it :D

Well, I think more than anything it just takes patience. Hell how about the Riviera those guys built with the 100mm FAST TB?!? Or 100mm MAF...I aint goin back though the long thread to find it but this thing rocks.:th_thumbsup-wink:

Knock yourself out...best 20+ page thread EVER:th_peaceout:

Eric's calling you out alex...heheh

Kenne Bell's though...not as much. They beat the Whipple to the mainstream market and sure do make great HP numbers but they are flawly designed and leak oil bad if they are pushed into spinning too high of RPM's. Every Cobra owner I've talked to just loves the power they make but hate having to perform as much maintenance on them as changing the oil in their car:(

Again, for the money...as long as you are staying Supercharged...you can't beat a Whipple. Bar None.

^^^ sweet info!!! i havent heard anything about the eaton on the zr1 but it looks like there taking some steps in a good direction.

Trust me I talked to Paul @ PRJ about it enough to know :p AND...the fact that GM is now intercooling their cars from the factory...Thanks for FINALLY listening to Ford. It only took them since 1989 with the IC'ed and Blown SuperCoupe T-Bird and XR-7 Cougar. IIRC they did put intercoolers on the SC'ed 'Balts too...not sure.

There is no reason for me to post pictures! If you guys don't believe me yall dont believe me!!lol I could post pictures and you could say "O thats not your car" Im not in ANY of the pictures and I have NONE of my AR tags. Im not on here bragging about having a whipple. Just stated that all the work I had done to mine I was only putting out like 440ish 450 on dyno. IMO I would NEVER waste the money I did on the whole setup. I wanna go turbo! I don't see why its so far fetch....about 2+yrs ago the whipples was big..Its not like its a rare find! LOL. I don't want to start a bashing thread on if im lying or not. I have no reason to lie about it and I respect this site and everyone on it! Bio, and Blue you two both have been a big help to me. I didn't do my setup I paid someone to! Now im doing it and WOW I have learned SOO much! Im sorry if you guys find it far fetch.
