fender rubbing

I had rear fender rubbing issues with the following setup
04+ GP, 245/45/18, 8.5" wide rim, +34mm offset
is it normal or unusual to have issues with those specs?

not really unusual. that's a vast difference from stock.

roll the fenders and forget it ever happened.

yea i dont know about the offset but i had the same tire and mine rubbed, I rolled the fenders and never looked back. A good way to roll them is with a rubber mallet it sounds dangerous but actually quite effective.

My fenders are rolled and put 235/50/18's on so this issue is laid to rest but still it sucked learning the hard way after seeing so many other people put 245/45/18 on these cars.

You should not be rubbing with 245s and an 8.5" wheel... i am running 245/45/18 with a 8.5" +35 wheel and im dropped like 2-2.5" and dont rub mine sit pretty flush too and dont rub.. . I bet you suspension is worn out like Red said especially if you have rolled fenders already. Where is it rubbing?

It WAS rubbing, the fenders have been rolled and replaced the 245/45/18 with 235/50/18,
was rubbing on the sidewall of the tire
as for the suspension, if I push down hard on the car it comes right back up and stops, I have done this with other cars that just keep bouncing, to me my cars suspension is good, have 80K miles on it

Are the springs stock? if so they shouldn't be..
my car barely budges when I push on it. but at 145 I would have to jump on the trunk

i just remembered i have 235 50 on the rear but front is 245 45, the rear were free so i didnt care im also lowered about 2 inches. Im sure i could run 245 45 and ill be finding out soon
