false knock?

hey guys so my welded pacesetters were touching the tranny case a hair after install not enough to damage anything...but it is enough to make moise at high engine movement....you think a cross over pinging against the tranny case could cause false knock? i get alot of knock and at akward times...so im leaning toward some of it being false...gonna jam some exhaust hangar rubber between them for now i guess what do you guys think?

could, you need to find someone with a tuner to pull the timing and see if it goes away. If it doesnt then it is false.
