False Floor ideas

I'm thinking of putting in a false floor to replace that stupid carpeting that came with the car. I've seen a few topics on several forums that people have done it in 4 different parts: back of trunk, over spare tire, and sides. Would this probably be the best way to do it? Has anyone done it? I'm not going to be mounting amps inside the wood or anything (subs are back, amps will be between box & back seat).

You're looking to put in like... a tongue-and-groove hardwood floor? Are you going to put in a nice bookshelf, too? Maybe a planter or two would liven up the cab.

Snark aside, hit Home Depot and pick up the cheapest discounted chintzy floor you can - that stuff tends to be thin and particularly easy to install (though it makes real carpenters cringe). OR you could try for some kind of laminate or wood-patterned tiling.
