• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Something happened this weekend that made me step back and check myself. A close family friend passed away this weekend. He was my old church Pastor's son. He and his father led my to Christ in 1996. In the last few years we have gone our seperate ways, but he was always a piece of my life. I am a Christian, but have posted a lot of non-Christian stuff. You will not be seeing a lot of posts from me anymore. I have to get back in line with what i believe. I will still be on, but only for help until I sell the GP. Thanks for the help so far.

Remember, we take every day for granted until something bad happens. Be thankful with what has been given to you. Remember loved ones that have passed, and spend more time with the ones you love now. One day you could wake up and wonder if things could have been different or if you could have done something more than just live day to day. I know some on here are not Christians and that is your choice and i accept your choice, but think of what if there is a Hell. I don't want to burn in a pit of molten sulfur for eternity, do you?

I know where Matt is and that he is living with the Lord and pray that someday I will shake his hand in Heaven.

Thanks for reading

Koscoe, sorry to hear of your loss. You are right, every day is a gift and we need to treat it as such.
I wish you the best on getting yourself back on track with your beliefs. *hug*

i cant say i believe in a thing these days, the more i look into religion it all comes back to fear mongering and and a whole lot of BS and LIES. just find them documentaries about god and stuff where they found all them old churches, all the miracles you had to drop a coin in were all parlor tricks to get your money, even way back then.

if you live a clean normal life, and dont act like a asshole to others, you dont need a group of anyone to tell you how to live. my 2 cents im done with this, and have no further comments regarding the subject.

good luck with your decisions in life, they are yours, not anyone else's.

Im sorry to hear about your loss man, it always hurts to lose a loved one.......thoughts and prayers to ya.

God has helped me through so much in my life and that's why when things get bad (like they are now) I think back to other times and figure if he didn't forsake me then why would he forsake me now

sorry for your loss. it happens to the best of us. as i get older it seems like i am going to more and more funerals, so i know how you feel.

being an engineer, though, i find it pretty hard nowadays to believe in a higher power.

This is a cool thread that I just came across. It reminds me of a story that I don't talk much about out of respect for those impacted, but I'll post it here.

Many years ago my Dad's close friend was rebellious toward God. The two were chatting and his friend says "If there is a God, he can strike me dead". On that fine summer day the man then put the pedal down in his new Corvette, but just a moment later there was an unusual and considerable noise. The car was upside-down and its only passenger, my Dads close friend was found many feet from the vehicle and was killed instantly.

sorry for the loss man. i believe god has a plan for everyone. Things dont happen to you, but happen for you. From the best to the worst, god knows what he is doing.
