You are in Chandler I see. Hop on AZGMPerformance.com or is it GMAZPerformance.com and find PDXGTP, aka a local GP guy in Chandler. He should be able to fix this up quickly. Thomas is a good guy who will know exactly what you need to do to the pcm to pass.

Since you have an 05, it's highly unlikely any Magnaflow is going to cure the code. Most high flows don't meet the specs the pcm is looking for.

Here's 97-03 drive cycle. May also be the same for you.

Hey bill, just stumbled upon this thread and it sounds like you're the go-to guy. I'm throwing the same code p0420 and am hesitant to change out my cat and o2 sensors because it was just done 4 years ago. I've got emissions as well and need some advice. Totally broke right now too ;). Anybody out there in car land have suggestions?

Why even bother with the stupid tree hugger codes when they can be tuned out? All it takes is a little bit of research to find these answers. Anybody that has hp tuners software would be able to set these codes to "no error reported" I just looked at this stuff today in my hp tuners (in my tune file). So I know it's there lol :-P
