F-Body calipers... will spare tire fit over them??

So I ordered an F-Body front brake kit for my 2000 Grand Prix GTP and they are scheduled to be installed this week. It recently struck me: will my stock spare tire fit over these brakes? Its size is T125/70D15. I'm still using the stock rims (225/60R16) but I know those will fit over the brakes. Still these brakes are a bit bigger than the stock ones on my GP (F-Body 12 inch rotors and dual piston calipers vs stock 10.9 inch rotors with single piston calipers). I know I'm bound to get a flat tire sooner or later, I just want to be prepared.

If the stock 15 inch spare won't fit over the F-Body brakes, will a 16 inch spare from an Impala/Monte Carlo/04+ Grand Prix work? My last resort would be to try and find a spare from a '98-'02 Firebird/Camaro, those will obviously fit but they're kind of hard to find and kind of expensive.

Please let me know what you think. Thank you!

If you get a flat on the front, then you swap a rear and put your rear tire onto the front. It's double work, but then you wouldn't need a bigger spare,.

What Bill said. Factory spare won't fit, but all you need to do is a swap the front/rear wheels. Scotty should chime in on this.

the 17" 5 spoke spare i have will clear the gxp brakes

the 16" spares should clear the F body. ive found the spun aluminum caddy spares (still has the cooling holes but look for a faint ridged/spiral pattern in the surface of the material indicating its a spun forged aluminum spare...i have one in the TR and the 5tp...almost 9 lbs lighter than the steel spare...and i know it clears the 06+ impala dual piston brakes. these would make good low buck lightweight rear drag rims.

ive been looking for a while for a mate to the 5 spoke i have...the 17" narrow rim would let us run a nearly 27" tall tire in back to fill out the wheel wells and give proper proportion to the 26x11.5x16 fronts. i know they felt lighter than our 15" weld draglites and the tiny looking 25.5" tire with that smaller 15" rim. plus he ends up with one of em in the trunk as his spare...so i can get my spun alum one back for my 04 daily driver...help offset the hundreds of lbs of tools and project parts that are always in the backseat/trunk.

I have a caddy 17inch spare..just fits in the well. I have one in my gxp and my gtp. 50bucks at most yards

This is in my gtp..gxp a little smaller well so the tire sits up about half inch but still works..

Bonnie gxps and caddy sts/dts spares and i think buick lucernes have.them..but bonnies and caddys for.sure.

i got mine from a lucerne but ive yet to find another one with it still in the trunk...like the yards are tossing em inthe scrap alum pile....fuuuuu

alot of the sts/dts have the 16/17" spun forged alum spares but i havent found anotehr 5 spoke....im starting to wonder if the 5 spoke was an early production part that got replaced with the cheaper spun alum spare...

I wanna say 05 to 07 sts had them. Pretty sure.thats where one.of.mine.came.from, other was.from a 05 bonnie gxp.
