• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

good bad what you all think

ps i think 383's are overused and dont want one so no point telling me to go the easy route

by the time you get it in and working you'll be so far in debt... Need to fabricate engine mounts and figure out how to connect the trans. You have a chevy 302, where'd you get that and why are you building it for an 82? 350 is the way, can go 355 or 383 stroker when you get bored. Really no reason to build a small engine when parts are more expensive and net less power.

I say do it, something different. In fact it's something I want to be able to do one day. Could save some money by running a V6 tranny, an auto at that since the 5 speeds don't hold crap stock.

i'm curious who builds a chevy 302? Weren't they ONLY made one year for something to do with nascar? Unless your talking about a 305, and most people don't "build" those.

I'd think if you wanted to be a little more unique then a 350 you'd do a 327 :) Shorter stroke then a 350, love to rev... a built 327 at 6700rpm sounds pretty mean.

Looks like trannyman on this site did the swap in a gbody, a lot of work apparently. So kind of in luck as far as information.
