Extreme Noob questioin

It's technically more confusing than that.

The L27 is a Series I NA motor. Typically found in H/C/G body cars from 92-94
The L36 is a Series II NA motor. Began in the above mentioned cars in 95
The L26 is a Series III NA motor. Began in the W body cars in 04

The L67 is a Series I SC motor. Typically found in the H/C/G body cars from 92-95 Had an M62 SC
The L67 is also a Series II SC motor. Came with the Gen 3 M90 Not to be confused with the Series I. The Series I and Series II have no interchangeable parts.
The L32 is teh Series III SC motor. Came with the Gen V M90

To make things slightly confusing. GM didn't replace the motors in all their cars at the same time. For example the 04 Bonneville/LeSabre etc would have had the L36 motor while the GP had the L26. The 04 Monte Carlo would have the L67 motor, yet the GP had the L32 motor.

Everyone thoroughly confused yet?

only LSx motors in a grand prix is a gxp by the way. Just figured id shed some light lol o and what bill said^
