Hi i have a 1997 Grand Prix SE 3800 and i was just looking around for an exhaust system that would make my car sound better... any ideas on a good one that is some what cheap?? Any input is appreiciated and if you could let me know where to get one that would be awesome! Thanks
 


if you do anything buy JUST mufflers. if you take anything else off the exhaust gets raspy and nasty sounding.

i would stay away from flowmasters, also known as dronemasters.
 
I have dual Magnaflow XL 3-chamber mufflers with no resonator. Sounds perfect (or, as good as it's going to get). Only makes noise on acceleration. Low almost lopey sounding idle.
 
Hey thanks, that should save me some money ha rather than buying the whole system... i want something that is kinda loud but not over powering, is that how yours are??
 
The only time mine is loud is during a cold start when the engine idles higher. During regular driving you can hear it but it isn't loud. On the highway you can't even hear it unless you're accelerating, and then you feel it more than hear it.
 


yeah, sometimes it gets really annoying on long trips on the highway with my exhaust. almost everything vibrates in the car like the rear seat squeaking, and stuff in the dash rattles, not to mention all the exhaust drone in the world.
 
I just cut the mufflers off on my GT and put two 3" by 24" tips on its not all that loud but it does get annoying to passengers at highway speeds.
